My metalwork explores the urban landscapes and structural elements of my environment in Brooklyn, NY. Working with nonferrous metals, I employ piercing, soldering, forming, and forging techniques to create functional and wearable art. My designs pull inspiration from transportation, industrial and nautical infrastructures, architectural schematics, and mapping.

In my daily life, I am constantly moved by the vast and imposing nature of New York’s cityscapes. Within my work, I aim to capture that remote grandeur by emphasizing design elements such as rivets, torqued cords, scaffolding, and grids. I embed these visual inspirations within jewelry which is, by contrast, made to be handled and cherished near — resting on a wrist or chest, entwining a finger, or nestled into hair. Through this duality of distance and closeness, my work pays homage to the many paradoxes of urban living: its anonymity and intimacy, callousness and tenderness, indifference and care.
